Bespoke Joinery
Our workshop produces quality bespoke products using the finest craftsmanship. Some of the tools and techniques we employ date from the Georgian era, while others are modern twenty-first century innovations.
Every piece of joinery we produce is built to last, whether made of oak or MDF. We produce doors, windows, cabinetry, wardrobes, free standing and built-in furniture, as well as custom kitchens and bathrooms.
Of course, your design input is paramount, as each of our projects should be as original as you and your home.
Case Study
Walk-in Wardrobe
Project:
To convert a large room of a Georgian mansion into a bespoke walk-in wardrobe. The client's main objective was to create a luxury environment that was sympathetic with the original house, while making use of modern lighting and hardware.
Stage 1 - The framework of the wardrobes are under construction in our joinery workshop. The materials being used include hardwoods, softwoods and engineered woods.
Stage 2 - Every element of the wardrobe is meticulously hand-crafted. By pre-assembling the wardrobe in the workshop, work in the house will be kept to a minimum.
Stage 3 - The units have been installed and painted and the lighting system has been connected. The lights have been designed to discretely highlight various items of clothing.
The Details:
The architectural details (curved arches, pillars and plinths) have been copied from elsewhere in the house.
The internal lighting has been designed to be as invisible as possible. The lights in the drawers and cupboards operate on hidden pressure switches.
The drawer runners, hinges and lift mechanisms are high spec soft close Blum hardware.
The glass is laminated and toughened British made Pilkington safety glass.
